I tell you what, we're a bunch of good kants over at Tannadice.
We've been in a long, drawn out saga with our good friends who we get on fabulously with over at Ibrox over the Charlie Telfer signing and the compensation they're due for him.
We see that our good friends are proper skinto (again) so out of the goodness of our hearts we decide to up our offer of £60k, which is all we really need to pay given that he was only with that club for 2 years, to a mind blowing £100k. That's a lot of money to Rangers after all given their financially precarious situation. It could keep Ally in a job for 6 weeks after all.
You guys should just suck it up and take our generous offer for the young man. Dragging this out is only going to unsettle the young man as he makes the step up to a top Premiership club.

He's had limited opportunities in the first team so far, but that's not unexpected. Jackie likes to have them work with the first team squad for a while before letting them play.
He made his first start against St Mirren the other week and looked very good. We'll see more of him as the season progresses.

Whats his actual position mate, only know him as a "midfielder" from the articles written regards the compensation bit.

As you're probably aware we play a 4-2-3-1 formation.
In his substitute appearances earlier in the season he played as one of the '2' in what is often called the 'pivot' formation.
In his starting role against St Mirren he played as one of the '3' in behind the striker.
I think at this stage in his career he's probably best served playing in that advanced role given his size and the fact his physique is still developing.
He's a very neat and tidy player, moves the ball well and looks to get on the ball. Took his goal well too.

Why would Thompson up his offer if Rangers are only due £60k?
And why are Rangers wanting £200k if they are only due £60k?

Oops..
Turns out Thompson hasn't upped the offer after all.
