Seems he is on his way out of Napoli at the end of the season.

I am quite intrigued by this this. There was a story eminating from Italy that FSG were looking into replacing Brendan Rodgers if he fails to turn the fortunes of the club around this season. We have made a dreadful start by all accounts. He has plenty to do to haul us back into the top four and extend our stay in the Champions League.
So my question is do you still rate Benitez after his tenure at Napoli? And would you like to see him back if FSG took matters out of our hands and let Brendan go?
Rafa Benitez returns?

I'm a big supporter of Benitez but I'm happy with what Rodgers is doing. As a club we need to work on getting big players and stop with the potential. That's my only issue.

We didn't really go the potential route this summer did we, with the exception of Origi.

The likes of Can & Markovic are not teenagers, but you would be more inclined to describe them as being players with potential than well established quality players.
Lovren isnt very good.
Balotelli and Lallana are pretty established players, but Balotelli has been terrible. Lallana has shown flashes, and I believe will be a good buy.
Compare that lot to the purchases of Fabregas, Sanchez & Costa for example.

I want BR to stay and be given time but if for whatever reason he does leave then i would be delighted to see Rafa back.

What would Rafa offer that Rogers can't?
FSG have a plan and it's clear Rodgers is part of that......plus to give someone all that money to spend then to sack them after a few bad results would make you a Spurs

Rodgers is one of the youngest managers in the league at a club with one of the highest expectations in Britain.
It was always going to be a rough ride at times but sticking with Brendan will bring greater rewards than dropping him for a more set-in-ways coach like Rafa as much as I love Rafa.

Rafa's been off the boil since late 2009, a decent spell under difficult circumstances at Chelsea notwithstanding. I think a lot of our fans oversimplify things and say "Rafa's great, I'd have him in a heartbeat", when in fact he hasn't been in the top bracket for some time.
I'm willing to give Rodgers a lot more time, though. I mean, Jesus, we had a shot at winning the title on the last day of the season a few months back, and that was after being a mid-table rabble for years beforehand. If the man who delivered that doesn't deserve time, then who does? You're quickly into a spell where a bad run is intolerable and will be met with the sack.
Spurs, in short.

Rafa in his final season started the mid table trend where we finished 7th (behind Villa) and we were knocked out of the group stages of the CL.

there is a very slim chance that could happen again.....but not being placed below Villa.
However Rafa we get told was sold short in the transfer market by G&H....Rodgers is well backed by owner and most fans

Rafa in as a director of football?
Fsg have always wanted one, brendan has been hesitant, his "poor" transfer dealings could lead to them revisiting the old structure..

I'd say we did.
Can
Markovic
Manquillo
Moreno
Origi
These players with potential cost over £50m.
What I'm saying is, there becomes a time when buying potential needs to stop and you need proven quality. I accept that has been difficult with us trying and failing with bids for Costa, Mkhitaryan, Willian and Sanchez being close but for the players preferring other clubs but if that's the case, keep the money, there are other big players who will become available and we will be able to offer most for them with the money kept adding to the next transfer window. No point spending on more potential.
