Sadly announced today the passing of Iain Hesford at the young age of 54.
He was on the books of Sheffield Wednesday from 1983-86 but never made a senior appearance for the Owls due to the in-form Martin Hodge at that time.
Nevertheless, still a sad loss to the Wednesday family and the greater footballing family. He played most of his games for Blackpool and also played for Sunderland, Hull City and Maidstone, along with loan spells at Fulham and Notts County and some games in Hong Kong. He also played 7 times for the England U-21 team.

Sorry I'm late on this Kitty, have only just seen it. I came on to say hello and thanks, but now having seen it, would be rude while I'm here to not pay my respects and give the article a well-deserved 5 stars.
All our condolences to his family and friends.
RIP Iain Hesford
