Morning Gooners,
Just wanted to know where each and everyone of you stood on the situation regarding our manager following our recent results?
If Wenger was to leave today, who is available out there in world football imo to do a better job? Mike Bassett?
i'm still undecided at the moment and feel that a decision should be made at the end of the season.
Wenger in or Wenger out?

Watching Man U's post-fergie decline is genuinely terrifying. It should be delightful, of course, if it were not a salutary lesson for the WOB.
Manchester United have the prestige and finances to attract the toppest managers… they have a massive war chest.
And they are RUBBISH.
If they flop so badly, twice apparently, why won't we?
----
We are doing a flop right now, worst start in 30 years only four wins out of 12. There comes a point when I would prefer to take a risk with a new manager. United picked the wrong manager, we have to back ourselves to pick the right manager. To be honest anything is better than the garbage we are getting now.

"United picked the wrong manager"
Twice, it seems (haha)
I can't feel happy at the prospect of sacking Wenger or not having a charismatic, hungry replacement already there.
I understand the need for change - my own passion for Arsenal is getting really worn down, and this mighty 'dual of titans' - Arsenal vs Man U - was met with such resigned indifference that, yep, we do need something to change.
But sacking Wenger, no way.

This would be funny if it was actually true.

From an outsider looking in it definately looks to be true. Van Gaal keeps talking about a philosophy he is instilling I don't really see it and after losing 4-0 to MK Done I bet you couldn't see it either. Considering how much money United have spent there transfer business has been awful. Everyone was saying Falcao was a permanent sick note but United fans just wouldn't listen. Apart from a couple of games Di Maria has been seriously underwhelming especially for 60 million. To be honest shame on Arsenal for not dispatching them yesterday.

No point sacking him now, mid season. Who would be available to come in. May as well keep AW til May and then part ways
Though the club should be looking right now and making enquiries about the availability of their managerial targets in the summer
No point getting rid of AW then messing up his replacement in the summer like we do with our player transfers.
Last day of window and we sign neil warlock.

Usmanov in, get Dein back who favoured Usmanov. Then they review if Wenger has still got what it takes and it was the running of the club or him and replace him if needed.
The point being, whoever it is who is responsible for the current lacklustre performances needs to go.

As a long time Wenger defender, I always said that the real test Wenger will have is when he has money to spend.
The question was always, does Wenger have it in him to create a winning squad without David Dein.
Unfortunately it is obvious now he can't. The game has past him by and Wenger does not renew by changing his coaching staff often instead sticking by yes men like Boro Primorac and Bould and poor scouting with Grimindi and Rowley who have all failed to some extent.
If we had De Gea yesterday instead of the nervous Chesney whose poor punch started the chain of events that lead to the goal we would have won comfortably. Chesney's nervousness and ability to mess up under pressure was why he was dropped for Fabianski. We kept the wrong Pole and then Wenger didn't bring in a replacement. Wenger just can't recognize the issues anymore.

To be honest, if you sacked him now, would the season descend into anything worse than it is with Wenger remaining in charge?
It seems to me that Wenger will only go once Arsenal fail to finish in the top 4, and it is inevitably going to happen if Wenger stays in charge. Maybe not this season, or next, but it will remain the same old season each time until Arsenal finish 5th, then something will happen.

Problem is that if wenger gets top 4 some of the delusion fans will give it the whole, give him the summer, he will spend, next season blah blah blah.
Honestly, the club is stale as fack under wenger now. This should definitely be his last season but I'm 50/50 in whether he should be sacked now.
If klopp would take over now I would do it.

Are you serious? Replace Klopp who is behind 19 points in Bundesliga and near into the relagation zone. That is worse sitiuation than the one we're in now. Arsenal will finish comfortably into the top 4 and i can't say that about Man Utd and Liverpool. When Arsenal can't create chances that is when the club should worry. Arsenal will probably have a run until the new year for the fixtures coming up and yesterday was the most unfortunate moment for the club. There are no better managers out there apart from Guardiola, but i don't know if he will come to this club, so we must stick with Wenger.
