First signs of a new era?

i read this also and wondered if there's probably someone on the board who actually does realize what's going on and is slowly making changes for a new era.

Wengers hallmark hasn't been tippy tappy patient build up since 96 as this article suggests. We only properly switched to that at the start of the youth project, fabregas era. I know we always played good football, but it wasn't how it's been for last 7 years.

We used to be very direct, and kill teams off in first half hour. We did employ high energy and pressing. If you watch old clips off us we did use a long ball quite a lot. As I said attractive passing and movement was there. But it wasn't tippy tappy stuff.

If wenger switched back to his old philosophy, we'd be more succesful these days. But he's dead set on proving that his new way will work, and everyone else is wrong.
