First inkling of good news? Hopefully a sign of a shift in fortunes.

While that was true at the time, AW stated he could not find the correct player(s) he was looking for.

My understanding is that to fully recover, Kos achilles' needs surgery (this was known by the club prior to the WC).

Knowing us he'll be rushed back and will get injured again straight away.

fair enough, but whats changed in a few months?

If he could not find them in the summer, how can he find them mid point in a season!

Because everyone knows it's easier to get players in January, right Arsene?

I mean, it's simply not possible that he could bring out the same excuse he uses every February when he fails to sign anyone.

Hopefully the realisation that the defensive options we have (injuries aside) are not adaquate in light of results.

You may be right, and we could end up signing an injured player on loan if nothing else transpires!

He probably will buy a CB regardless. But you never know with wenger. He'll completely pull out of a deal if if the club demand more than what wenger is offering even its not by much.

Remember wenger said it'd be stupid to drop points because we didn't have enough fall backs. But still didn't buy one.

I would more likely bet that AW will sign an attacking MF player than a CB

its the wenger way....

tadarrr!!!!

If a top quality cbs were avaliable then city wouldnt have spent over 30 million (sanchez transfer fee) on Mangala who doesnt even start for his country and United would have spent some of their world record transfer spend on one.

The irony is, Wenger probably made the best cb signing in the summer in Calum Chambers. Another one of him would have done nicely

A fit Koscielny would be more important to us than any other player bar Alexis - but let's se how he is, I doubt Wenger will start him.
