Mig makes good saves, but his kicking is poor and he doesn't command his area.

Jones kicking isnt much better, he makes more handling errors on shots. He commands his area a bit better than Mig because he at least tries to come off his line, but is a bit hit and miss whether it comes off.

Bottom line is neither are good enough to start regularly and we need a new keeper.

Whoever decided Mig was a good choice for first team keeper should be sacked from the committee/scouting.

Reina is irrelevant, he was carp on the pitch for 2 years and constantly had the hump.

But what happens if the back 5 look like strangers and confusion reigns?

Is it the system making everyone look like mugs or we just have 2 bad keepers?

Failing to bring in proper competition/cover for Mig in the summer seemed a little odd at the time, given what was spent on the swuad but with the benefit of hindsight, it looks like a terrible oversight.

Jones is for the league cup and early rounds of the fa cup if we get a lower league team.

I would rather Brendan sticks with Mig and see if .he can get his confidence up. Playing Jones is a risk because he really isn't the standard we should be expecting, but I suppose neither are Mignolet's.

With the way our defence are playing at the moment, we could play Mignolet and Jones both at the same time and it wouldn't make any freakin difference.

Nah we should never have even considered cover for Mignolet, we should have just brought in a keeper to replace him full stop.

Surely we have to bring in a keeper in January now, only Valdes or Cech seem available and both are keepers who would improve no end over Mignolet. Cech obviously knows the prem so if he was wanting to play, as opposed to warming a bench, then possibly we could loan him from Chelsea until the end of the season?? It's not like we are a threat to Chelsea any more this season, the title is long gone, only City have a chance of catching them. It is an option.

Another shout is Ochoa, but that depends on whether you get the Mexico version of him or the club version of him. If he can play like he plays for Mexico then snap him up!

Cech would be ideal. However I have my doubts whether we can get him.

Mignolet was outstanding, luckily he wasn't dropped.
