Once he returns from his injury? The excuse of fatigue cant be used any more after his 3 month layoff so what do we do if he returns and well.. performs like he has been? Granted it will take him time to get back into the flow of things but what if things just dont click?
I think hes yet to show his best for Arsenal.. The quality of his play was top notch for Madrid so im still hopeful we will see shades of that Ozil this season.
Will there be any excuses for Ozil?

Ozil better be hitting the fücking gym while he's been out, some extra strength would not go amiss.
And no, there's no real excuses. You can say fatigue, but that's par for the course nowadays.
Wenger messing him about on the wing to accommodate wilshere, while it's an admirable cause, it hasn't worked out, and I can't believe it took an injury to jack for wenger to change things.

Doesn't it always?
And as soon as the player recovers Wenger puts him back in the team where it wasn't working in the first place. Just look at Giroud!

Wenger new project of providing England with their core players is killing Arsenal. #WengerOut!

If he's being played out wide yes.

I don't know how people can say we don't miss Ozil. Our play looks sharper and our passes more threatening in the final third when he is around.

Because Ramsey won't learn, and needs to be dropped.

And that's how you betray your limited understanding of football. That lineup is literally the weakest on we could field.
Say goodbye to EVERY 50-50, headed challenge, or linkup play in the final third. Literally every team in the league could nullify that line up by sitting deep and denying space.
Kos on the bench?...what?

If Cazorla keeps up this form then Ozil shouldn't walk straight back into the team. Ozil really has to deliver this season otherwise cut our losses and move on.

I'm backing ozil to come back and remind us of why we were so excited to summers ago. Simply put, if we get him playing well we have an attack that will be the envy of many in Europe

Would love to see us try this, if they are ever all fit at the same time. Reminds me of Liverpool's front line that just cut teams to pieces last season. Sanchez is not quite on the level as Suarez but Ozil is miles better than Coutinho so would be interesting to see.
Having a "hold up" striker is OK if you want slow build up play, but would love us to try a direct progressive style that doesn't necessarily rely on dominating possession.

For 40mil he should never have had any excuses in the first place. Needs to justify his reputation now.
