Predictions for December

Here are our fixtures for this month.

3 Dec - Soton (H)
6 Dec - Stoke (A)
9 Dec - Gala (A) [CL dead rubber]
13 Dec - Newcastle (H)
21 Dec - Liverpool (A)
26 Dec - QPR (H)
28 Dec - West Ham (A)

I think we have to be looking to pick up 14 points in the 6 PL games, which is 4 wins and 2 draws. It would leave us on 34 points at the halfway stage (which isn't very impressive) but would give us a great platform from which we can cement 3rd/4th place (depending on how United fare this season).

I also think we should be looking to win in Turkey as, with the way Dortmund are playing recently, they might just lose to Anderlecht, and we could still top the group.

Is this possible/realistic?

Since when a trip to Anfield is an easy one and guaranteed 3 points?

Feels like we are about to go on a classic "Wenger's feeling the pressure so better start winning some games" run.

Beat Southampton, draw to Stoke, beat Gala, beat Newcastle, draw to Liverpool, beat QPR, beat West Ham

Southampton maybe tougher for us than people are thinking. Lots seem to have it as a definite win. Especially after the city game. I think we'll struggle to break them down, they were pretty good in first half against City. Wasnt until Schneiderlin went off untill gaps starting apearing between defence and midfield. They frustrated them a lot.

I see a similar pattern with us. They'll frustrate us and remain threatening at the other end. However I think if we're patient the quality in our attack in midfield will shine through and we'll score. I'm predicting a tight win for us. But won't be surprised to see us drop points.

People are getting a bit carried away with the saints game.

This will be a very tough game. Don't let the city game fool peopl.

Will not be surprised whatsoever if we drop points

the Gala game is difficult one as we can still finish top if we & Anderlecht win but I done see Dortmund losing
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I will be annoyed if Wenger play a 2nd string, especially with Dortmund current form. With our luck, both us and Dortmund will lose/draw our game
----------------------------------------------------------------------

But you would also be annoyed if Wenger played a strong side and a key player or two got injured and Dortmund won anyway. So he can't win.

We'll win all those games. Only game we might drop points in is against Stoke. We'll beat Gala with our second string

Schneiderlin will be injured for our game apparently.

Stoke, Newcastle, Liverpool and west Ham could all take at least a share of the points in my opinion.... unles Sanchez is on top form to carry us through.

Im really not confident in this team at the minute. Although Kos should make a huge difference.

Cork is back for southampton. So them missing schneiderlin won't be as big of an issue as it was in second half against city. It will be a tough game for us.
