Pleasing and encouraging win against lower league opposition. A number of fringe and newer players given some game time. Goals for Rochina and Goodwillie. Nicely timed strike by him, sweetly struck, good movement and skill and competent finishing from Rochina.

Sheff Wednesday had a reserve midfield, were shaky at the back and lacking a threat upfront. But you can only beat what is in front of you and I thought we did what we needed to and dispatched them confidently.

As pointed out by others, Everton are a totally different prospect however, who also won by the same scoreline and those predicting wins on the back of this performance need a reality check. However, we are through to the next round which is important and pressure will be temporarily lifted amongst the group, prior to re-appearing about 11am Saturday morning.

No im not being vague!I hate whats happening at Ewood ,being turned into the laughing stock of football.Sure we whipped a 2 league team last night and now all the exciting wonderful times are just around the corner,I dare not think whats going to happen on saturday.There is still something not right or different with this squad.I now expect the venkys club to start saying im negative again.All the players that Red Nose was going to loan to his fellow Scot,what can you expect from a drunken liar.I hope im clear enough now.
