We were terrible but Southampton made no attempt to play football whatsoever. Got what they deserved.
Giroud did well when he came on. Defense did well, Cazorla was ok, the rest were very poor.

Giroud is our Dzeko.
Hope he plays him and Welbeck up top against Stoke.
But atm, start Giroud over Welbeck against Stoke, unless Welbeck plays on the left again. I don't mind Welbeck starting over Ox or Give Alexis a rest.

Think as well that we overall deserve the narrow win. We created little but scored from one chance. Grind out the win. Three points is all that matters.
Happy for Martinez. Three clean sheets for him. Soton made our life very very difficult. They are difficult to beat.

Giroud is our main CF. The appearances off the bench means that ,for once, we're being prudent with returning players. Same reason we're not rushing Theo back.

Yep ....we hadnt got a chance in the second half until giroud came on. We created more than and had chances.

We should have played better today. Saints Werent up for it at all. We kept giving away possession. I'm happy with the defence though, and Martinez very assured, deserves to keep his place. We still need a big improvement overall. Giroud makes us a lot better
Saints will still be ok this season. Not top 4 for sure, but still will finish in a decent posstion. They've still looked better than most teams I've seen in the league. People keep acting as if it's a bad thing or cheating that they've only beaten bottom teams. Thanks ok for them, they're never meant to be beating top 5/6. They're not going for the title! Good luck to them, I hope they smash Man U!

Southampton should be ashamed of themselves for the way they played and I wish everyone didn't keep bumming them. It's exactly like the liverpool love in from last season
