Good article, shows that they are aiming to get youngsters through to the first team in the not too distant future

Great quote.
“I was listening to the radio this morning and Manchester United could have this war-chest of £150m and everyone’s getting all excited by that. We were ruining English football five years ago by spending money. I would defy anyone who says Sergio Aguero wasn’t value for money (at £38m) or David Silva (£26m) or Yaya Toure (£24m) or Vincent Kompany at £5m.”
They were discussing the England set up on the radio on Monday night and a recurring theme was that City (and Chelsea) do nothing to help the England team. or young English talent. This is a major statement about the future path of City and the national team can only benefit as a consequence. Let's hope our critics eat their words when the new facility is fully on track and producing the next generation.

Incorrect Macca, I've never owned a shellsuit and I'm bereft of facial hair.

I had to take someone to the new training complex last night and it is very, very impressive. I didn't get the grand tour but I was allowed to drive into the centre of it (not the pitch). It looks like something from a Bond film or Hank Scorpios factory if you're a Simpsons fan.
