Yes damned if you do and damned if you dont.
Criticise him when your winning your deemed to be whiny cos we won and he scoring goals. When we draw the response is "Relax its only a draw, not the end of the world". When we lose "Stop being fickle. One loss and your looking for a scapegoat".
I guess ill take the chance on the loss response.
Heres my beef. Why on earth does he never seem to gamble on the crosses low between defenders and keeper? The danger zone?
Why is he just standing still "All" the time expecting the low cross/ cross to come to him when the defence line naturally drops when a cross comes in? He just waits on the penalty spot and hardly ever gambles. So many chances were wasted today. Remy would of taken a few if he made that gamble sitcking his leg out between defence and keeper.
Jose needs to have a word.

The biggest mugs in all of this are the pundits and the media trying to force us into admitting we may become the invincibles tag.
What are they going to talk about now?

Earlier on talk sport stan collymore actually said the whispers of invincable talk from west london has been silenced as if we were the ones who talked us up. Absolute joke.

Someone on this forum doesn't think Costa is the all mighty and doesn't appear sarcastic? Thank god I was sitting down (seriously )
At the end of the day he's just an aggressive poacher, no-one can convince me otherwise right now. Some of the praise he's gotten has gone WAY overboard. Yes, he's not Torres - this is good. Could we do better however? Most certainly. We've missed out on far better in the past with the likes of Aguero, Neymar & Falcao.

Many top strikers have been aggressive poachers though, it is only the Agueros of this world that are at another level.

Very true, but the standard of strikers in the last 10 years has risen to such a degree that a club such as ourselves should have someone occupying a lone strikers role who offers a bit more.
I wouldn't feel comfortable watching a match in the balance with him as the spearhead - he gives me no indication he could provide that spark of inspiration that could be the difference between a draw and defeat or win and draw. I get that more from Drogba even watching him now.

I remember at the start of the season (least I think it was you) stating your belief that we'd established a clear 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice hierarchy in the striking department this summer with Costa, Remy & Drogba.
To me we still don't have a capable 1st choice. Costa is a great 2nd
