We can confirm that Emmanuel Adebayor has been given permission to return home for personal reasons. This is a private matter and so we will not be providing any further comment.
Bad Juju?

Did his mummy send a note to his teacher.
I had a friend once who was always off sick from primary school and our teacher would read out the note in class because they were so pathetic....probably classes as bullying now. One occasion she wrote he was not coming in as he had sore lips, another time he was 'sick in the head'

I am sorry to hear this news and I hope that it is not more tragedy in this young man's life. Despite frustrating us with some poor performances he has always struck me as a decent guy who works really hard through his Charities to build houses, schools and hospitals throughout Africa and as such I am proud that he is Spurs player and we should get behind him 100%

He is clearly suffering with a mental breakdown, which is a shame.

It's a shame Spurs fans are so distasteful to one of their own players.
Ade has had a tough time growing up and even now it always seems like a personal tragedy a year for him. Hope he's ok.

On a personal level I hope he's ok and hope nothings bad has happened to his family. But I kind of hope he dosent come back now and we just f Uck him off in Jan. Let's be honest 95% of Spurs fans want this but now this has come out won't want to say it

Don,
I’m not sure where you get this 95% from. Kane might be the striker on form but I believe 6 of his goals have come where Ade has partnered him. Sometimes you should look beyond just stats and look at the bigger picture. We have done no better since he was omitted from the Stoke game to when he was playing so I don’t know why he is suddenly the scapegoat for things not being great at the moment.
I would say a higher percentage would rather rid of Soldado, even though he has suddenly shot up in popularity no doubt since his winner at Everton - his 1st prem goal in outfield play since March.
Ade has so much to offer when we play to his strengths – and I for one wish him a speedy recovery and to get him back and firing for us as we know he can do.
