Biggest flop so far list thing......

So guys, who has been the biggest flop from the following

Rodgers v Martinez

Barkley v Sterling

Lukaku v Sturridge

I will go for all equal at the moment, the most frustrating for both set of fans must be Barkley and Sterling. With both players failing to match the performances of last season and in my opinion going backwards based on performances I have seen.

Sterling and Barkley, agree with you there, however Barkley is a year older than Sterling.

I wonder how many top flight games they have played in comparison to each other. Then I would say age doesn't define experience. Sterling never missed over a season through a leg break many though would end his playing days

Sturridge been injured, so it’s unfair to say has been a flop , even though Lukaku scored 7 goals this season in all competitions, he hasn’t improved from last season , he’s still got a lot to learn, but he will be a very good player in a season or two.

I think Barley is a CM...i keep saying it and no one will listen. It could be that im wrong and people think im an idiot but i dont think it is.

I think he is the closest thing ive seen to a young SG. I know he gets compared to Rooney but i think he would be much more effective as a box to box...

If you watch him defend then you will see why Martinez is giving him experience as an AM without any defensive duty, if you get to watch one of ouor games....see how much time he spends in the attacking third of the pitch in comparison to the defensive third

Im not saying he should be rushed into the role but i do think he has the attributes to do it. I know he is a tad rash but then if he can be taught to track and wear down etc (as tackling these days seems to be a dying art anyway) i think he can do it.

I have watched you a few times this season and last and i still think he can do it and be a monster whilst doing it.

People saying Lukaku isn't worth 28 million. What if he stays at Everton another 7 years scoring 20 odd goals a season every season? He's a kid still learning his game and he is scoring goals. Way too early to say he isn't worth x,y and z.

I say that based on the 3 or so PL seasons he had before joining Everton. He had been good, but not £28m good. If he gets 20 a season for 7 seasons I'm happy to say I was wrong. But I still feel the initial price they paid was about 12m too high.
