It maybe the case that they are, new engine supplier will bring the inevitable teething issues.
But both drivers are experienced enough to play the long game and work with Honda, also Honda will hope that by choosing Alonso and Button experienced and knowledgable feedback will help keep teething issues to a minimum.

There are rumours he has a get out clause if they are not competitive. Where will he go then? Force India?

Can you post the link to that comment please. Earlier this year Smedley stated that Alonso was not disruptive

Wtcbu - my post is a little misleading, smedley didnt sya he was disruptive, the article did. If i remember rightly, smedley said, he is as disruptive as u let him be.
