The psychological weight of 24 years without winning the league would have been lifted.
Suarez may still have behaved the way he did at the World Cup, got a ban and Barcelona would have still got him.
The English Liverpool players at the world cup could have performed better. Or maybe a complacency could have set in "Anyway we won the league". Or fatigue could have featured.
We would have still purchased the same players, albeit with a marquee signing attracted to our football and prestige factor associated with Champions.
Sturridge would have still been injured.
Maybe the feeling that "We've delivered the PL, let's take it easy" could have set in.
Maybe we wouldn't have had such a different season as we're having now.
However, pschologically the players would have the belief that they climbed the mountain and can if they want to put the effort in to reach that league winning year potential.
How would things be if we became Champions?

It was a blip, a temporary change in the performance levels of our team as well as the other one (Man U). Has now been addressed. We were rising far above our station and the loss of our major star and the lack of appeal to our club from other marque signings demonstrated that.
I am afraid it is back to square one, and I am ever more convinced that Brendan Rogers is not the manager who has the skill, experience or wherewithal to deliver us meaningful & long-lasting success.
Will continue to support the club, through thick and thin but recognise mid-table for the foreseeable future is our place in the scheme of things and am managing my expectations in that regard.

We did punch well above our weight. If Man U weren't in meltdown we would have displaced Arsenal anyway.
One could argue that Man U are reclaiming their rightful place - last season was a blip. But top 4 isn't a right for any team. Man U have to make it theirs. So we're really competing against Arsenal and Man U this year in the 3rd/4th place trophies.

It's very easy to take that view with the trials of this season but don't forget we were saying the same thing the season before last and then we were challenging for the Premier League.
As bad as things have been I still have faith in Brendan to turn it around. The amount of itchy trigger fingers around is worrying. It would be a huge blow to back track on all the good work that has gone into getting back in the CL.

We wouldnt have signed the exact same players. Didn't we lose some targets? Sanchez being one of them, if we got him we wouldnt have bought ballotelli and then the loss of sturridge could have been coped with better.

I was thinking the same thing about your lot earlier. If Gerrard hadnt have slipped, you probably would have bought Sanchez and potentially kept Suarez. You wouldnt have bought lambert of balotelli. You basically would have resumed from last season except this time you would have another world class forward to bolster your ranks, and Sanchez is exactly the hard working pacy tenacious player your system needs and would have slotted in perfectly
Feel a bit sorry for you guys tbf, Stevies slip didnt just affect last season but will affect you for years to come. Rodgers will probably get sacked even though he is perfect for you, and you will go on a manager merry go round like spurs. Bascially his slip was the difference of a new era of dominance for you or Europa league obscurity for years to come .

I think arsenal, united and liverpool are almost at the same levels of uncertainity with the only difference being arsenal and united have superior squads to liverpool.
Liverpools squad is not that bad but they need 3 top class players in goalie, midfield and attack.I think they have good center backs and fullbacks. They have a good manager who although a bit inexperienced but is good enough.
united and arsenal have managers that I think will not win big trophies with either club. So even if united or Arsenal spend another 150 million its unlikely they will start challenging for the league or champions league.
Chelsea have a good manager and decent players.Nothing amazing though, dont believe the hype.The hype around Costa & Cesc is ridiculous.
City have a lucky manager and some fine players. The difference between Kompany, Yaya, Sergio and Silva is far better than similar set of players in the premiership.Thus despite a bungling manager or indifferent form those players will win games for them.
Its like barca at the moment, rubbish defence, average midfield but when you have Messi, Suarez and Neymar it doesnt really matter.

We couldn't score against Chelsea that day slip or no slip.
we missed the title because we lacked attacking depth last season.
even if we won it, Sanchez wouldn't have come, Suarez would still be at Barca and Studge would stlll be injured.

I think Suarez's psychological make up would have changed for the better. He would have thought "I actually won the league with Liverpool entirely through fair means..... I have what it takes to win purely through fair not foul means".
He may not have bitten Chiellini and stayed with us.
