A spineless, lifeless and utterly, utterly dreadful performance yesterday which was won comfortably by an Aberdeen team who simply wanted it more.
It wasn't a game for the purists. The second half was one of the poorest 45 minutes of football I think I've ever seen. Outside of one clear chance for Pawlett I don't think either side created anything, which is telling. The fact that we were 2 goals down and couldn't put together any kind of pressure tells you everything about that team yesterday. We didn't test the keeper at all.
It's easy to point fingers at the players (and I will in a minute) but first and foremost the manager has to answer questions about his selection and his refusal to change things when it's not working. The selection of John Souttar was always going to be a terrible decision. We looked much steadier after he was hooked at half time. John Rankin was clearly not fit and Butcher had done enough anyway to continue in that position. And if someone can justify Ryan Dow's continued selection then I'm all ears as he has contributed very little throughout the season. And finally why the feck do we only have one fit striker? It's laughable.
Ciftci naturally gets the brunt of the criticism and he was awful, but he wasn't the worst. The whole lot of them were terrible. The only person who gets pass marks for me was Morris who came on for Souttar. Armstrong maybe got a 5/10. The rest were lucky to get a 3/10. Rado's blunder for the first goal was amateurish.
I am not looking forward to next week if we play like that again.

What's to be done with Rado? He's been utterly awful for so long that surely it'd be worth a go to just stick the other guy in for a go.
Unlikely to get a good free agent in January, but a decent loan of a goalkeeper and a striker that cares could really help.
It's strange as the team is doing so well overall. Would be interesting to know where we'd be if we had a goalkeeper that could catch a ball and players that could finish.
