It's not only that we cannot put the ball in the net, we can't defend, we can't pass, no imagination. Awful, awful football.

Lucas wouldn't of solved any problems. Definitely were a shambles but this has happened since Carra retired. IF BR doesnt win a trophy he has to go.

All I know is that we aren't Arsenal....Brendan is doing a really good job of trying to get himself the sack!
We won't wait 10 years

TOOR...thats rubbish.

No it isn't. When you're crap and play crap, the team suffers, hence why it's not rubbish. To be at fault for two goals is hardly gonna be making Mignolet shake in his boots but at least we'll never have to see Jones start an important game again.
Lucas was getting a game, when we tightened up and became more defensive, it was working to an extent, BR thought he'd go back to the more attacking game, which actually seemed to work quite well, going forward but again we couldn't score goals and two goalkeeping mistakes and a assistant referee error, cost us.

To go to Manchester United with that line up is spectacularly naive given how many goals we concede and how many goals we are currently scoring. Jeez....its obvious. I don't care how many chances you create....if you haven't got players who cannot do the most difficult thing of nervlessly sticking the ball in the net then you mare wasting everyone's time.
I love to watch free flowing football but when the team obviously cannot defend, priority one should be stop leaking goals. We should be looking to win games 1-0, not playing wide open suicide football. Fine if you have players who score for fun but not in our precarious position. Our best finisher on the pitch today is Gerrard...and the closest he gets to the goals is 40 yards. Like I said earlier, I don't give a stuff about creating chances....it's about tucking them away and Utd have players who can and we have players who can't.

I don't disagree with any of that and I wanted to see us stick with the system that has been working reasonably well the past five games, when we haven't lost and conceded a lot less.
Perhaps BR thought he could have won the game as he saw the weaknesses in United's defence and that's why he changed it.

OMG TOOR!!! In 3-4 years that is the first time you have agreed with me on anything. I can barely type through the tears of joy.

Yeah after that performance he'll probably change his mind, if he doesn't, he could be out of a job.
