Message to Sterling...

Sterling is one of the best 20 year olds around.

No idea why people are trying to blame him for our problems. It's the manager who has signed all the strikers that he doesn't trust.

Sterling should be a supporting act, not the lead role. Rodgers is hanging him out to dry by putting too much pressure on him.

Sterling is a 20 year old who is getting played out of position because there's no one better available.

I thought De Gea did well myself.

His movement at least helped us create some chances which was heartening.

His finishing is that of a 20 year old winger.

He's still got a lot to learn, but he's struggling to wear the main man mantle. Other players have to step up.

Yeah, you get oddities like Owen, Rooney and Fowler. But as a general rule, strikers don't play in the Premier League at the age of 18-20 because they lack composure in front of goal.

Tbh imo sterlings shooting isnt the issue its his decision making.

His 2 chances were less about bad shooting or a good save. It was simply too tight an angle amd to score from there would have been either a quick shot before keeper is positioned or chit keeping or in rare occassions a touch of genius.

A simple pass into the 6 yard box would have been better and there were players running in

Also Balo given a run would have scored. A confident balo does the sublime a non confident one goes gor power. He has always done this at his other clubs and country

Owen, Rooney and God where strikers though. Always had been since the age of 8-10, they knew what they where doing!

Sterling is being dragged here there and everywhere instead of being left to concentrate on improving his natural position!

Yeah, that's a good point. I ean, he's doing remarkably well for his age. It's just easy to forget he's 20, since he's now played 100 times for us.

On an aside, if he stays with us and avoids injury, there's no reason he can't look at the all-time apps record.
