Game Date: Saturday August 27th
Venue: Galpharm Stadium.
Summary
On Saturday Huddersfield entertain Wycombe Wanders at the Galpharm stadium for the 3rd home game this season.
Huddersfield have had a slow start to the season collecting only 6 points from their first 4 games and there first win of the season came just last week against Colchester where the terrier had to come from behind to win the game.
Although it seems the terriers have sorted out their attacking part of the game, there remains large questions over the teams defence , so far this season the team has been plagued with poor defending that has in turn been punished to the full extent with the opposition scoring goals , indeed in the five games so far this year that Huddersfield have scored in they have at some point been leading , but in all competitions so far this year they have only recorded 2 wins. with 3 draws and one loss.
Wycombe Wanderers start to the season has been very much like the terriers , they sit a few places below Huddersfield in the table having amounted 5 points so far this year, there solitary win coming away to Leyton Orient. in fact Wycombes away form has been impressive so far 4 of their 5 points so far this year were earned on the road and they will provide stiff opposition for the terriers.

A little bit of History
Wycombe Wanderers played in the first every game of professional football at the then McAlpine Stadium in the 1994/95 season, Huddersfield lost that game 1-0 but went on to win promotion that year through the playoffs. ( Ahhhhh good times )
Probably Huddersfield town Team
......................Bennet.....................
Hunt.....P Clarke...McCombe....Naysmith
McDermott ..Robinson .Johnson ..Ward

with the inclusion of Johnson i think LC is going to stick with Clarke and McComb , i dont necessarily agree with it but i think it will happen

He may as well give him a half at Northampton on Tuesday,he'll get more out of that fitness wise than any friendly. At least its a competitive game.

We would have an half decent team from the players that didn't start yesterday.....
Colgan
Wood, P Clarke, Cooper, Ridhaulgh
Roberts, Johnson, Gobern, Arfield
Alan Lee, Cads
Maybe we could put this team out against Northampton, I reckon they'll win easy...
We need to get Johnson playing ASAP, whats the point in paying wages to loan players and not using them...
On another note, Rhodes is on Scotland duty next Saturday so we need to (dare i say it) play Alan Lee again...

If Rhodes is off on international duty he plays Tuesday, think its a fair team selection for Tuesday.Thing is we'd be fined straight away,as you can't make so many changes. To be honest Northampton are poo so whatever team goes out they should be seen off no probs.

Myth we couldn't play that team tuesday as the tin pot cup rules says you have to have 6 players in the starting team who have started to majority of games
stupid rule really
