So he has appointed Lambias to Rangers despite giving assurances that he would have no input in the boardroom. Are these rules or are they gentlemen's agreements not to interfere? If he broke the rules what are the possible consequences for his actions, if any?

The SFA will do nothing that might stop Rangers getting back to the top league. In fact they will change rules to facilitate it if necessary.
