We have an interesting mix of midfielders. Missing a mid-range passer in my opinion. the ability to mix up our play.

None of our midfielders seem capable of a slide rule pass or an 'over the top' through ball.

Makes us very one dimensional.

Might also be to do with our coaching. Lamela and Chadli should be making runs in behind oppostition full backs.

Koch must be discouraging them from making runs int to box. He seems to like them cutting in and creating space for full back over laps.

We should learn to play both types of football. Make us less predictable

Not a shock really

Dembele is frustrating because he really does seem to have everything to be an amazing player. Not sure if intelligence, confidence or both that he's lacking in.

super....he'll glide past a player like he's not there...then look totally lost as what to do next...ends up shifting it sideways 10yrds.....

I like Bentaleb he is developing into a fine player and im starting to side wuth Sherwood who made such a fuss about him.

What i like about him is his composure on the ball. He has good awareness and can drop a shoulder or use a bit of skill to receive the ball in a congested midfield.

His passing range is good although he plays too many safe passes wheras he should be making incisive slide rule passes.

Even though he is more of a dm he does need to chip in with the odd goal too.

Dembele and Capoue are very talented but so inconsistent and i think Bentaleb should start over them.

What we need is a midfield general to partner Bentaleb in the Schneiderlien mould.

The more I watch Southampton without Schneiderlin. The more I think that Wanyama is actually the more defensive and solid player.

I've seen some very commanding performances by Wanyama in the heart of their midfield this season.

Big opportunity for Stambouli to show us what he's about.

he will miss 3 PL games i believe. not such a big deal imo

and like someone said above, it will be a great experience for him and should make him a better player

prospect of Dembele does scare me though - he is such a pusssy bottle job
