Welcome to the official match thread between two struggling Championship clubs.
Form guide last 6:
Most recent last.:
Rotherham : DLDDDW 7 Points
Town : LDLWLL 4 Points
Last league meetings: 2006-07
At Huddersfield : Tuesday 8th August 2006 Town 3 Rotherham 0
At Rotherham : Tuesday 20th February 2007 Rotherham 2 Town 3.
Rotherham won promotion to the Championship in May at Wembley where they beat Leyton Orient 4-3 on penalties after a terrific 2-2 draw after 120 minutes.
Rotherham where involved in a 5 way struggle for League One power last season, with eventual champions Wolves running away with it, closely followed by Brentford, only 2 points separated Orient, Rotherham & Preston as the top 5 were miles better than the rest.
Rotherham have had a below par season so far and like Town and L**ds languish 5 points from the relegation zone on 24 points, They have had some memorable results mind, including beating L**ds surprisingly a match live on TV, cos as we know SKY have a love in with them.
Slightly off subject, the crazy L**ds fans who I know laugh at how little Town have been on the telly & how there is no need to buy season tickets cos “were on the telly all the time “….I just laugh and point out that every time they have been on the telly this season they have NEVER won a match, stating I would gladly see them on the telly every week if that continued!!
Rotherham also drew at Norwich, drew at Cardiff, drew at Bournemouth, they seem a tough nut to crack, yet with only 24 points something can’t be right with them can it ?
Town are on the crest of a lump, 1 win in 7, including 5 defeats since our 7 game unbeaten run.
I’m sure most Town fans agree that it about time we attacked teams, we certainly can’t defend, so our strengths lie in attack, I would drop Holt, play 2 up top with both Vaughan & Wells playing with 2 wingers flying down the flanks, Its about time we gave other teams something to think about.
I cannot believe how defensive Powell is, one man up top for home games!
Negative tactics breeds negative lack luster fans, all we want is to go to a game and enjoy it, give it a go, make us feel like we have been entertained, if you lose then lose to the better team , NOT because of appalling tactics, late substitutions etc.
We can get 6 point over Christmas, 2,600 away fans demand a response on Boxing day, the home faithful demand a performance on the 28th too………….Powell , Town don’t let us long suffering fans down again.
Lets hope we can be midtable mediocrity and not yet another awful relegation battle.
January is massive with the ins & outs.
Merry Christmas Town Fans

Well, after the shock draw and my stern comments, I've had time to sleep on it.
I'd just like to say...
TOWN ARE SHEITE! 💩

I still can't believe what I saw yesterday, absolutely abysmal defending, again! How many times can we say this needs sorting?
We all know we need to offload some players to allow us to bring some new ones in but who's going to want some of the dross we have?
Hopefully we'll sign a decent defender and additional striker, fingers crossed anyway.
On a positive note we've got some snow and the dogs (especially the puppy) love it.

our snow has gone! There's just a carrot and two becks bottle tops on the ground. Rip frosty ⛄
As for yesterday. It's just totally unprofessional. Shambles. Powell used to be a defender Ffs. I'm not going tomorrow, I'll save my £80 that I would have spent.

I hope you haven't supped 'em all Hydy!
I see Heskey the donkey scored yesterday. Fook me, at this rate and the way Town defend, he'll bag himsen a hat trick. 😱. Thing is, Vaughan is due a hat trick, so it'll be a draw.

Bolton are now on 29 points with - 4 g/d. Is it still the new manager syndrome, or are they due a blip now? Or is Lennon a good manager.
Heskey is a big donkey,he'll cause us problems.
