Well, he's conned Simeone now
I really do hope he settles there. Money isn't everything. I don't care how much of it he has, it can't be easy losing your ability for something you've loved since childhood and just being completely unable to re-discover it for inexplicable reasons - even worse when you've become the fascination of the football world through doing so. I can say with confidence he's been under more pressure (much of it self-imposed granted) than any player over the last 4 years. Only Neymar springs to mind who can match him in that regard.
No matter how bad he was at times I simply couldn't dislike him. Ever since his debut when he had that satisfying look on his face when he was substituted against Liverpool, as if at the time he knew he wanted to be here and nowhere else - from then on he's always had this endearing quality to him. It was like he was skinless, you could tell if he was gunna have a stinker just by looking at his face in the first 5 mins. Very relate able player (at least to me).
Good deal for everyone.

I feel sorry for him and his family. I really do, I can't imagine what he will be telling his wife and kids match after match, I doubt if they still bother to watch him or maybe he/they turns off the TV when he gets back home. It can t be easy for his kids

I'll bet you he will score 20+ goals next season there.

Orzil - what a businessman; getting all that money every week for doing - well err - nothing

I do see where you're coming from OP. I think the reason is you could see he was always trying his heart out, it just wasn't going to happen for him though!

Agreed Brum. He tried but it just was not gonna happen for him here for whatever he tried. Funny how it goes sometimes, Robert Fleck was the same, scored for fun before he came here and then couldn't hit a barn door in a storm once he was with us. People loved his effort though.
