I'm with the majority of Spurs supporters. Not set the world on Fire and prone to silly errors at times but easily the best partner for vertognhen and forming a decent understanding with him. Put it this way he is twice the player of Kaboul although that's not saying much due to how poor Kaboul is

He is too slow, other than that he is improving into a steady CB for us, commanding in the air, sniffs out danger quite well, distribution has improved also, but gets exposed against fleet footed attackers.

Not for me. Recent results all be it lucky at Swansea hull and Leicester have helped with people's views on him.
I have to say we give teams a lot of chances and sooner or later we are gonna get hit for 3-4. Don't think vertonghan looks particularly comfortable playing alongside him.
Would like to see dier given a run at some stage in his best position

I think he'll get better the more games he plays.
Should be interesting on New Year's Day him against costa, they didn't get on too well in Spain apparently.

He has shown flashes of potential - great header of the ball, strong. Willing to step out of the back four to win a ball.
Has also shown flashes of Ramon Vega too though . Early days. He hasn't been sent off again yet, so it's improved anyhow.
What he does need is a partner who is looking to sweep for him, and fullbacks who will tuck in when the ball is on the opposite flank to them. He is he is a big lad, and not the quickest on the turn. Vertonghen really needs to up his game in that regard.
