Wednesday Player Problems

This has appeared on the OS in regard of the non availability of Wednesday Player:

Football League interative (sic) (FLi) - who provide the platform for the Sheffield Wednesday official website - would like to apologise for the poor service that some users of the website received for this weekend's match as the Owls faced Notts County.

The problems, which prevented some clubs uploading and updating content and a number of subscribers from being able to log-in to their club's Player service, seem to have stemmed from technical issues at our digital service provider, Perform.

FLi values, above anything else, delivering a timely, first class service to supporters and expects its partners to follow suit. With this in mind, we're working with Perform to ensure that these issues do not re-occur.

We will also be working with Perform to explore ways that those affected by the outage can be suitably compensated.

GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!!!!!

I tuned in 15mins before the game started and it worked perfectly. After the first 10mins of the match I decided to turn it off and watch Hollyoaks instead

We can all joke about it, but I pay for the service and it's not all that cheap. 35 minutes into the game before I got transmission. Just not acceptable.

Sorry PEI just light hearted fun, but I agree though it's frustrating when you're paying for a service you don't get

You need to tell them that the next time it happens you want a month free or summert!

peiowl - while i can understand you been frustrated at the time I dont really know what exactly you're expecting them to do?

It was off for the first 35mins of one game. If you had been unable to access it for an entire month Id see why it is such a big deal.

They cant go refunding everyones money cos of a system fault for 35mins. Unfortunately, with technology, this stuff happens from time to time.

No excuses is there. They advertise a service it dont work people have paid for it compensation required

I don't want any money bk poite. Point is that this is not the first time it has happened. It has happened all too frequently. They can and should do better. There should be a better way of letting them know when things have gone wrong and they should be on top of it. Unfortunately, it's the only live broadcast available to me.

It was annoying as many of us rely on this service to depress us. If there are too many problems, I'll just cancel my subscription.

pei, as well as us letting them know there should be a way of them letting us know. 404s and "an unknown error occurred" are about as useful as the team Meggy put out the other night!
