This is what Garth Crooks had to say:

We get a lot of calls that go our way? What is he on? He may have been an above average football player, but he is well below average as a journalist. He is clearly letting his biases get the better of him.
I have to say, I was embarrassed by both the Cahill and Ivanovic dives. Diving is something I believe all fans should speak out against. But we have had at least 4 incorrect yellow cards for diving this season, and have been very harshly done by. Two of those incorrect decisions (today and the Costa yellow card against Burnley) were penalties. Perhaps referees do have it in the back of their minds that Chelsea players look for penalties by diving, but we have had many more decisions go against us. It would be nice to have someone a bit more honest than Garth Crooks comment on this. To suggest that somehow it is justified when a referee gives an incorrect decision against Chelsea is just absurd.

I think half of costas yellows this season were not yellows either. Tbh out of the "big teams" we have always got poor decisions in the league or Europe
