I would love him and a DM, but I can't imagine either happening.

The main thing is he'd give us another option, which I'm not sure if Wenger would know how to or be willing to utilise

Hes held the Bilbao midfield together for a few years now. Similar to Busquets in style. Under Bielsa Iturraspe was always preferred ahead of Martinez in CDM. Martinez often played CB to accommodate

Our midfield is flooded with ageing and too similar type players and we need more than 1 signing of the holding/physical type midfielder. We should be building a squad for now and the future. I don't know too much about them but they are very much sought after the players so I would invest the Brazilian Silva who we are allegedly interested in along with Real Madrid (must have something about him to get there interest) and Carvaliho from Sporting. Also I would make a move for Khedira either now or for free in the summer which would for me give our squad the steel it needs.

All could be accommodated by offloading Flamini, Rosicky, Arteta, Coquellin and Diaby.
Having those 3 in squad with Ozil, Santi, Ramsey and Wilshere suddenly gives us options but a squad of quality and depth.
