Can Arsenal begin to aim for 2nd position?

Me thinks so. Arsenal will be meeting two of the teams above them within the next four matches (Southampton and Man City) and have a better head to head away record to these two (won 51% vs 45 %) away at Southampton and (won 35% vs 33%) away at Man City. This means a chance to potentially narrow the gap and even overtake some teams above us.
Further three teams above us will will be meeting within the next four matches (ManU vs Southampton and Chelsea vs Man City)
So unless we s.... up (like we always do) on paper our next best aim should not be to finish fourth but second. That said, for his 'kind of deliberate red card' and his performances and our needs, me still got like for Morgan Schneiderlin!

We will not finish higher than third.

Arsenal can aim for first if they want.

But they won't get it.

Fourth is the reality again, but a battle at that.

Should worry about 3rd before then.

United are starting to look pretty decent and only seem to be getting better. Falcao still looks rusty so here's hoping that's permanent.

Don't trust our team. We must win the next 3 games than I begin to believe.

United starting to look decent really? I also thought so until i watched their last two draws and still not entirely convinced. Thy still look weak especially when a team takes the game to them like Tottenham did yesterday. You could tell that from their substitutions in the 70th min Tottenham brought on Lamela and Dembele for Chadli and Townsend while LVG brought on Shaw, Rafael and Smalling (all defenders i think..)

Our squad does not have the depth of the top 2 and will ultimately be our Achilles heel competing at the business end of the season. At the moment 3rd looks possible but the top 2 would have to have a serious melt down for us to get beyond 3rd spot

I remember United at the start of the season and honestly thought unless they improved they would finish bottom half.

7 wins from 9 now and I thought they were the better team vs Spurs, just fizzled out towards the end. Falcao & RvP both missed sitters, Rooney and Mata both wasted really good chances too whereas Spurs's only clear cut chance was wasted by Mason.

A lot depends on what happens with transfers in January. If Wenger signs a new CB and a DM we may have a chance to compete, otherwise we need to concentrate on getting a CL place

It's 3rd-6th depending on signings. Nothing more, and unless a major collapse, nothing less.
