FA Rules Again Farcical!

With the FA announcing that Newcastle United's Cisse will face a charge after his blatant assault on Seamus Coleman, he is expected to accept the charge and the most likely punishment will be a 3 match ban, which is basically him being let off in my opinion. Cisse has until 6pm today to answer the charges.

Offences like this should carry a fixed minimum of at least 9 matches, Coleman could easily have had his jaw broken after Cisse's THIRD attempt to elbow him succeeded.

As it is, Cisse is due to go off to the ACON this week. So will he serve his 3 match suspension on his return?

The answer to that is NO!

Why not you ask? Well apparently international breaks etc were not factored into the equation when the Disciplinary Guidelines were transcribed. Cisse only misses Newcastle's next 3 fixtures, which will be whilst he is away playing for Senegal.

Apart from the fact he scored Newcastle's first goal when he should not even have been on the pitch, it is totally ludicrous and wrong that his suspension is not held over until he is available for selection at Newcastle.

Where is the justice in giving someone a 3 match ban which he does not serve, and means he effectively has got away with a cowardly act.

The FA needs to change their rules to take into account situations like this and act accordingly.

They also need to re-visit this "rugby tactics" in the penalty box, after Rooney's antics on Sunday. Whilst I agree United could & should have scored at least two goals in the first half, this incident happened in the second half with Spurs on top and a resulting penalty could have made all the difference.

Referees need to be allowed free reign to jump on this, and incidentally it is not a Rooney bash here, not my favourite character but a very good footballer. All clubs have players who do it & it is as bad as diving, by which I mean it is another form of cheating!

I keep seeing Spurs and Arsenal fans saying Adam is a thug but honestly, I've never seen it, even whilst seeing him a lot when he played for us. Must have it in for your clubs or something.

this yellow card clearance is a joke too...basically all players on yellows will have them rescinded in the amnesty and be back to none...wtf is that in aid of

Actually what happens is that any yellows accrued up to 31st December which with normally attract a one match suspension at 5 bookings, now become suspended unless the player reaches a total of 10 yellows in a season & it then becomes a 3 match ban.

Raheem's actions may not have been the most violent, but it was certainly the most stupid in the whole game.
