I was just browsing the LFC official Website and reading between the lines either Brendon does not have the backing of the owners or he honestly believes that we don't need strengthening.
Below is an extract straight from the website :-

Does he not see our need for a Goalkeeper, stronger defence, A passionate striker withe presence ?

We definitely need a keeper thats better than mignolet even on loan and the same with a striker who is pacey and can fit into an attacking system along the front three.I know in january its inflated prices,but if we are to push on to try and get a champions league spot we need these additions or try and win the europa league which i cant see us doing with what we have either.

We don't desperately need anything.
There are clear gaps in the quality of the squad but we are in touch with the top 4 and in 3 cups.
We are not getting relegated.

Any buys will depend on sales in my opinion. We have loads of players and thus need to move some on.

Why would you replace one of our top 3 players this season?
We desperately need a new keeper. While a striker would be nice, if we have to overpay then I guess we can wait. We need to get a good keeper at all cost.

Because we can do better than him, ofcourse weve been better defensively with hin because hes the ONLY dm weve got, he was rightly dropped last year, we need to improve upon him, have done for years
