Alan Shearer says Newcastle Utd want to put all their efforts into remaining mid-table - they don't want Europa League qualification because it is not very lucrative and takes away from the protection of their Premiership status due to extra games and they don't want to stay in the League Cup or FA Cup for the same reason.
What is the point in supporting a team that has only one aim - mid-table mediocrity - pocketing the Premiership money and selling off any decent players they unearth as soon as a reasonable offer is made.
Following Mike cA$hley's team must be really depressing. Newcastle fans need to step up the campaign to turf his fat ar$e out of the club.
