Rightly,the cartoonist/paper tragedy has made massive headlines,but jihadists have been slaughtering,invading,beheading,raping and terrorising tens of thousands of innocents around the world,for years now.Victim's include Christian's,Yazidi,shia muslims,anyone in their way,kurds Turkmen etc etc.
However,when a journo or cartoonist is targeted,the world wakes up.
Why does it take an assault on the liberal/left media to focus in on extreme Islamism on such a scale?
In a strange way,it exposes the chattering classes racism,and self interest,in our so called liberal society,as an attack in Canada,Paris or Oz provokes protests and marches,but the tens of thousands suffering in Syria,Iraq,Africa,Libya,Pakistan,Kabul are treated differently.
Jihadist's are a threat to us all,and it is global folks.Girls and women are being sold to jihadi's as slaves................no protest or march?
Wake up.

To clarify,I do not wish to diminish what happened in Paris,but I have just watched several women being interviewed,from around the world,in relation to the jihadist outrage in France.
Each one spoke of freedom of speech.
Boko Harem and Isis and islamists globally,have been kidnapping,raping,killing,converting and abusing girls and women,and where were you?
Where were your voices when the women of the world were being oppressed,and is a cartoonist in the west more important?
We are all Charlie,but sadly,many of us are sheep.

I went to an anti-death penalty lecture at Queen's Uni,and would you believe it was Enoch Powell,as guest speaker.
The death penalty may actually backfire,as juror's would feel nervous about sending a man to his grave.Beyond reasonable doubt,taken to the utmost,when it is life or death.
Hang em high mentality is often reactionary and revenge led.Cretates martyr's too,as seen in Irish republicanism,for example.
Plus the jihadi's do not fear death,do they?
Le Pen has it wrong on the death penalty,imo.
