I'll start off by stating as Manc supporter the rivalry between our clubs is a massive and great thing, and I wouldn't have missed one moment of our matches against each other. When I heard Gerrard could have been available all those years ago, I thought Sir Alex missed a great opportunity to sign him, as it turned out it took us till this season to finally get a decent midfield together. It's always a sad thing to see a club legend leave, I just hope Stevie gets a huge and tear-filled send-off at the end of the season. I hope we drop the rivalry and applaud him after our next match afters. Do you Pool supporters plan on giving him a heroes send-off? I certainly hope it's a massive send-ff and the honour guard by the opposing side to boot. Your thoughts?

Are you 12? You always make posts that scream pay attention to me.
I'd be shocked if he gets an applause at Old Trafford, just doesn't happen with rivals.

Haven't Liverpool already played United at Old Trafford this season?

I forgot this was a chat room full of keyboard warriors, let's see what happens when the thing happens in real life, I think it's a generation gap thing, but you'll see the yound lads get pretty abusive. Us older folk think differently, we'll applaud a top servant for our rivals, we understand the symbiotic relationship between the 2 clubs. That is all.

Wouldn't mind him scoring against us one last time, so he can run towards the camera and kiss it again...but this time I hope the cameraman has some balls and jolts the camera forward as he's kissing it. Leaving him with a thick lip.

I will always remember the time Alan Smith broke and dislocated his leg and ankle and the scousers blocked the Ambulance in.
The time suarez racially abused our player and they wore t-shirts in full support of him (including their captain)
yet you want us to applaud him.
No fecking way. Hope he slips on his árse on the last game of the season costing his team again, then at the end of the game Giggsy comes running into the stadium with his 13 winners medals round his neck helps him up then stuffs a camera right in his face then he pops back to Stevies house to give Alex a good seeing to
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't know how you are remembering something that didn't happen, idiot

He's remembering something that was heavily reported at the time. I thought the story was they either blocked or rocked or threw stones at the ambulance. Anyway how woukd Smith know as he was in the back doped up on painkillers so wouldn't have had a clue.
Idiot.
As for a "symbiotic relationship" and "United wouldn't be the club they are without Liverpool" what utter tripe. Biggest load of böllocks I've read on here in ages and that's saying something.

"Smith had been given a general anaesthetic inside the stadium and therefore did not know what had happened until he came round. Having already suffered a broken leg and a badly dislocated ankle, injuries which Sir Alex Ferguson described as "some of the worst I've ever seen", he has subsequently been informed that he had a lucky escape."
See, obviously he was out of it, horrific looking injury no way would he have not been given plenty of pain relief.
Anyway the OP started this off with a well meaning but delusional idea. I guess he bought into the media bull about SteveME being the second coming.
