Plus in general he kept the ball well. Some sloppy moments but in the second half he picked up

I do not like him as a player and so my view might be slightly biased. All I see is someone who slows play down and takes too long on the ball. Did you see their first goal and his pathetic attempt at a block.

Dembele was shocking in their second.

The second, you mean? Yeah it was bad. But imo Dembele is a decent squad player. I agree he tends to slow things down

I agree about being a good squad player and I suppose that is all he will ever be.

Personally, I thought Rose did alright, as he also did against Chelsea, certainly not at fault for the goals given away. Townsend on the other hand, although equally not directly at fault for the loss against Palace is just terrible, offers us zero, has a diabolical first touch, persistently gives the ball away which puts us straight back on the defensive again, rarely takes the full back on and when he does it rarely comes to anything. I'd rather see Soldado as a forward two with Kane or with Kane just in behind him than Townsend playing as our supposed 'winger'. At least Soldado has technical ability.
