Royal rumble was one of my favourite PPVs and the first one I watched to get me into wrestling all those years ago!
Royal rumble 2000 it was,
It had Tazz vs Kurt Angle, a table match between the hardyz and dudleyz! There was some bikini contest which the Kat won I think... I definitely would have! And the main event of Triple H vs Mick Foley in a street fight! Then the Royal Rumble match itself!
Loved watching this and still up there as my favourite Royal Rumble
So... What's everyone else's favourite previous Royal Rumble PPV?
Royal Rumble season!

Yes, Yoko did win in 93 although the final elimination is painfully embarrassing.
And I hate to say it but it involved the macho man.
I ask anyone to go watch on YouTube how Yoko eliminates Randy savage. The most ridiculous idea of all time.
Randy goes for a pinfall - yes a pinfall in the Rumble.
Somehow, Yokozuna pushed him off and Macho man launched himself over the top rope.
Wouldn't happen in todays product - I think

My favourite was when Benoit won the rumble

1998 was my favourite RR.
Austin throwing The Rock out last with Mike Tyson celebrating with Shane McMahon. In the weeks leading up to the rumble Austin had been stunning every man and his dog.
When his music hit the whole ring stopped, he came in via the crowd and starting opening cans of whoopass!!
Ohhhhhh I do miss those days. Not watched it since 2003 myself apart from the odd catch on telly.
Kane coming down to help the Shawn Michaels defeat the undertaker in the main event. Good times

Is always a fun event that has had stupid moments in recent years. I liked Punks in rumble promo but then we have times like Kofis miraculous escapes and Santino in the final 2

That annual spot is the only reason he still has a job
I don't think WWE realise they need to play down the technicalities of the Royal Rumble matches stipulations as much as possible, coz they objectively make no sense. I don't know why wrestlers don't just exit the ring via the middle rope for p!ss and f@g breaks, not illegal within the rules of the match after all

If the match stipulations were used in a real fight it would take a year for a match to end! Come in, slide out, go home, come back 2 weeks later and see who's left

Ric Flair was the first one to do that, in his first RR when he won it to win the title
