Big test for our promotion credentials on Saturday with a chance to beat the Red Dogs and go top (at least for a few hours). Last season, Burnley beat Blackburn which gave them so much self belief and made it almost impossible for us to catch them as they kept winning afterwards.
The Red Dogs also are fully aware of the significance with Kenny Burns and SP both in the news.

I must say I like the way Kenny Burns compares the 2 teams
"Forest's leading scorer Britt Assombalonga is just as good as the Rams' top marksman Chris Martin, Michail Antonio is just as big a threat as Johnny Russell. I could go on. All over the pitch the Reds are as good as Derby"
Anyway, we need to approach this match in the right manner (Fire and Ice like last year) - Eustace out is a blow as it will be a tough physical battle.
Stuart Pearce once said he'd rather be on the dole than manage Derby...whilst he will never get the opportunity to do the former, let's give him the latter with a comprehensive victory. No mercy!
No complacency and no mercy

Nacer Barazite. Don't know why he sticks in the mind. Why was he taking it in the first place?
If we're talking Arsenal loanees who were a bit rubbish, surely Gilles Sunu wins that one?

Tell me Baz, since Forest and Derby both came into the Champioship how many games have not gone with form.
The only ones I can think of are the kneegate game and the our 1 0 victory against the Forest after Fawaz had acquired the club. All the rest had an expected result although the 10 men game was a bit touch and go.
Don't know how many times I have to say this but this is a local derby so anything can happen is no more true than for ant other game.

He certainly was. And very average if memory serves.
Just wikipediad them both and we had them quite young... Barazite is only 24 and Sunu 23 now. I remembered them being older and I guess expectations being higher. Probably the arsenal youth tag did them no favours on that front

And as you say, who the hell let him take the Peno in such a game and the timing off it.
Never mind, no pain, no gain.
No mauling but a win by 2 no doubt.

I wasn't expecting the 5 - 0 Spart. Although a guy I was chatting to on the train up was. I did call him a mental but in hindsight perhaps I should have more faith.

The catalyst for last season was the early goal, we rocked them and we never give them time to catch breath.
We need to do something similar, are forest mentally able to cope if we do, I think not.

I predicted 90 0 (check it up) last season. I was disappointed with 5 0. Forest were really poo at that time and 5 0 let them off.

I was confident of a big score and as happy as that day was, I still reckon we could have and probably should have got a few more at least.
An early goal for us I think would be handy, also bit wary though of that time Forest came to us in 2nd all singing and all dancing not lost away all season, fans boasting of a Premiership bound hammering for NLN and then baaam that boy Kris Commons to that man Hulse, possibly the turning point in Forest's recent fortunes.
