And Sturridge was offered a new contract which he turned down as he was demanding £50,000 a week despite playing a handful of 1st team apps....Got greedy and chose Chelsea!

Who knows what would of happened if he had stayed he could of had 2 league titles under his belt.

Name a few players that City have released who have then gone on to have more success at other clubs.

It's a bit ironic that people are saying we aren't developing players due to selling a player we bought at considerable expense at 19 as we are using our academy player as back up instead in Boyata...

I'd say both QPR and Liverpool developed Sterling. Signing a player at 16 means you still have a lot of development to do to see him through. Even now Sterling is still developing.

Sturridge says the same here. I just think younger players have less of a chance there than most other places.

How? By having his own personalised place on Chelsea's bench or by leading Liverpool to 2nd place behind City last season.

Most like Rodwell are already fecked by the time they leave City.

Sturridge left for money, no other reason. I don't begrudge him that, but it's naive to think it was anything else.

Rodwell was fecked before he arrived.
