I hear that we are/were trying to sign Shinji Okazaki from Mainz in Germany, he is a striker which if we sign him would give us 3 strikers bought for £8 million at least each, yet Pearson's prefered front 2 seems to be Vardy & Nugent whilst Ulloa is just lacking some form at present, I would expect Chris Wood to be moved on this Window in some form, but still 5 strikers for at most 2 spots just doesn't compute

Can someone explain why we’re playing Nugent and Vardy when we’re waiting for a work permit for one player and only rumoured to be interested in another? Hmmm... as the prawnster states I think that somebody has determined that our current options aren’t good enough.
There used to be a maxim that you needed 5 good strikers at this level. There are some question marks against our current crop. I don’t think that we’ve won a game without Nugent in the starting eleven and, I’m not sure on this, but I suspect Ulloa may have started most of those games as well.
The evidence is that Ulloa/Nugent works best and Vardy is an option from the bench. I’m hoping that Kramaric and Okazaki (or someone else) will be good enough to challenge for a starting position and that rather leaves Wood surplus to requirements. It seems, however, that there is a lot of work to do before we can say it’s likely the Japanese fella will be coming.
The real question, of course, is where all this leaves Gary Taylor Fletcher. Due to injuries and suspensions it might be time to think about remodelling himself as a midfield maestro.

I had heard that our Gaz had recently been taken on by Wimbledon's Akinfenwe (The Beast) to model his latest clothing range

Okazaki to Leicester isn't happening, that was plan B if Kramaric fell through. The player has confirmed the deal is off

BlackStarr, where did you hear that the player confirmed the deal was off? All the information I can see indicates a deal could still be done ??

I hear all the valid points made by others here, I agree with alot of them, but all attackers were available against Stoke & he still started with Vardy & Nugent
