Lets not try to rewrite history here. Lalana, lovren, Lambert, Shaw and Pochettino all been a crucial for their performances last season. Southampton did well to replace the people who left with equally good or better replacements.
Southampton had one of the best defensive records in the league last season but its no thanks to their main stay CB

No I'm not from Pompey, I'm a Wiltshireman. But years before I spent 8.5 years living in Scümpton, I worked with a Pompey fan, who taught me about their rivalry, so I've always called them Scümpton and not in an abusive way, but because it rhymes with Trumpton
During my time on the south coast I also work in Pompey for 4 years, during their time in the Prem
