Redders giving Morison striker role?

Maybe Redders doesn't think we have the players to go 442, or doesn't think we'll be effective? I agree with him if that's the case.

Morison went back home (Millwall) last season and scored 8 goals in 41 games.

I think Morison is ok, played well against Wolves in the first half until he was stuck on the wing and played well last week, did well in the build up to the penalty, think he is a wrong un though but with his mate going he might pull back in line, he is the sort of player we need but would be happy to get a better version.

Last week, 20 of our 25 goals were left out of the side. How is that making the right changes???

I saw, have only seen his first goal so far, was a good finish.

Too early to say whether or not he has returned to form so I didn't want to suggest one game meant he had.

I thik that returning home might give him a chance to shine once again, and I really hope he does manage it. He never stopped trying at Chelsea and the amount of stick he got for being a waste of money from the whole world was justified tbh, but must have been so hard. He looked terrified while playing for them.

The confidence and mindset of a player is just as important as the physical abilities. Look at the Yorkshire bloke who was recognised this week for his work as a sport psychologist in helping the likes of Ronnie O'Sullivan get to the top of their game. I think he has worked with Gerrard and the British Cycling team too.

Shaun, you have to understand there is a bit more to football than who scored the goals.

Don, If he is a wrong'un and doesn't have an interest then he should be gone.

Kebab, never said that going home will always make the player better. Didn't realise Milwall was Morison's home either seen as though he is Welsh. No one is saying Morison will definitely become a top player at this level again either.

I've heard Morrison ain't a shining example on the training ground... But then he wasn't getting games. I think he holds the ball up fine and makes a decent target man, but he isn't prolific! There 'a an argument that with the service you get at leeds and millwall, its a tough ask to be prolific.

Its tough on antenucci, who's been the pick of he summer signings with Silvestri, but if the system requires a lone target man, then he's not your guy,

Whether you fit the system to the players or vice versa is another debate.

Agree Milky, and whilst in time they may be, the three that played behind him don't have an eye for a goal,

I think this might actually work! don't judge a player too quickly when he hasn't really had a chance so far.
Like when Somma scored 11 goals in 11 games and then was dropped for a while, ofcourse he found it difficult to regain the same level.
