Deal agreed for Okazaki?

We've agreed a deal for this Okazaki according the Mainz newspaper

Vardy just does not look good enough for this level. I cannot fault his commitment and I would love nothing more than for him to prove me wrong but his touch doesn't look good enough and his finishing has been missing for a while.

I do think he could maybe make it at this level as he did in the championship but we don't have time for that to happen. If it was Vardy for £5 million and then buying Okasaki I think it'd be a good deal.

Also True Blue, "I'd also never publically slag my players off who are giving their all for the Club."

That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. If you are saying you have never said something critical about one of our players you are either a saint or liar. Akinbiyi often gave his all but he was clearly not good enough same with Ian Hume. Are you really trying to claim you have never said anything bad about a Leicester players. Also I dispute a messaging board being a bad place to have a dig at players, I doubt Jamie Vardy is reading this.

Chesham - I think True Blue was saying that from the point of view of "You are the manager". Otherwise we could point to his constant Sven-bashing.

You're right Dung, that was the context you asked me to answer in and that reference was to both the Managers at QPR and Hull who have publically criticised their own players to deflect pressure off themselves.

Is this deal stalling or off now?

If rumours are to be believed, then in addition to the club agreeing a price with us, they've also said that the deal can only go through if they can find a replacement as well. It may also depend on us selling Vardy of course... (although this bit's just my speculation )

All in all, I don't think this is imminent; however as the transfer window goes on then we may see more developments.

Let me wade in to the Nugent debate two footed.

He can hit a cows backside with a banjo. In fact, based on some of his spectacular effort recently, he can play you the whole of Beethoven's symphony's upside down whilst doing it.

The problem comes when he has time to look at the cows backside and think about where he's going to hit it. In this regard he falls in to that well known category of a striker that is can finish, but is not a natural finisher.

These are the most frustrating players because you see the ability to finish that they clearly have, but when it comes to those pressure moments, it all seems to fail them.

However, unlike Wood, Ulloa and Vardy, what Nigent does offer is more than just goals and leading the line. He can link the midfield to attack and has the intelligence to drop in when needed.

So, until we fix the issue of creativity from the midfield, is go as far as saying Nugent is one of our most important strikers and it wouldn't surprise me to see him alongside Kramaric against Utd. That is unless Kramaric demonstrates that e can link well with Ulloa before then.

Ultimately if we stay in this division, Nugent will become surplus to requirements as you hope we'll improve the midfield to create more.

Until then, I'd still go as far as saying he's our most important striker.
