Flamini ... not yet time to let go

Le Coq is great, no question about that. Arteta is very good, but injury prone and is on the wrong side of 30s. The sparkling new top class CDM hasn't arrived as yet, so just wondering why suddenly almost everyone agrees that Flamini should be let go. Me thinks him being one of the most versatile players we have especially around the defensive positions (both left and right wings) he needs to be let to see out his contract (like he always does) and which ends end of next season. A few months ago, just like now we had abundance of attacking midfielders, but look what happened.. At some point we were playing without Ramsey, Wilshere, Rosicky, Ozil, Walcott and even Gnabry all at the same time. That can happen again or should I say, will happen again. Plus he is not a moaner, tries his best and would sit on the bench when asked to. Further there are certain games that require 2 CDMs

Bielik is the white Vieira

Coq's played well in every game and he's got the rest of the season to show what he can do, if he proves himself then I'd give Arteta a one year deal and we've got Bielik coming in. if Coq's not the answer then keep him/Bielik as back up, release Arteta, Diaby and Flamini and buy a new player.

Bielik Krystian is Petit, Viera and Gilberto all rolled into one.....

I think Flamini and possibly Arteta will be moved on in the summer, as neither have the legs (and fitness) to offer any significant contribution to the side going forward.

Still can’t fathom why AW made Arteta captain, as it was apparent even last season that he was not mobile enough to provide adequate cover to the back four.

Bielik Krystian is the Black Christian.

A young Flamini would be more valuable than a young Arteta in the DM role. As it is, both are past it and need to be upgraded then moved on.

The Coq is like a young Flamini, not a particularly special player but he actually suits our DM role. Pace, stamina and a tireless work ethic.

We should still sign a top class, experienced DM to compete with the Coq and then let Arteta and Flamini go.

Flamini simply isn't good enough and Arteta isn't a DM and therefore is behind Ozil, Cazorla, Wilshere, Ramsay and even Rosicky in CM/CAM.

Still need a top class DM.

I'd let Flam go and give Arteta a 1 year deal, hes been a great pro while hes been here and at the very least deserves 1 more season. He can still do a job coming off the bench.

We have really missed Arteta while he has been out. Don't really get the comments on here saying hes past it, our better performances this season have been when he was playing and its only since Coq has come in that we have matched them.

Coquelin is out of contract in the summer too, isn't he?
