STRIKERS

I am very suprised JFH has extended Jacob Blythes contract until the end of the season , having watched him struggling to score at home this season .His overall play is poor and many fans i stood with on saturday were moaning and shouting for him to be taken off . As for Beavon he is the skillful one who is never going to get you 20 goals a season but is a clever player and with the right player alongside him would be fine . McGurk im afraid is another player lacking in confidence who the crowd have had enough of , Knowles well with a decent run in the team might start to give us a return, but he is shrugged off and bullied far too easily by the better defenders in this league . Unfortunately Akins got himself injured just when he was playing well ,is is a few weeks away from full match fitness . So we have Macdonald as our top scorer ,who couldnt hit a barn door last season but in all fairness is having a better season .Hence when you look at the league two list of top goalscorers we havent one !! . If anything is going to cost us this season im afraid it will be this lack of firepower , we needed a quality striker but whilst we are still second i guess we will just carry on until our defenders stop scoring !
