Skrtel out still guys?

He's decent with the ball too look how often he takes it a plays it short, I think people can be a bit harsh on that side of his game.

I still think he's our best cb, he's comitted and sometimes that's to his detriment where hes over comitted leading to errors, but he loves the physical battle and seems to have really taken to having ayers either side of him.

Another good defensive display with the pen their only shot on target.

But he's nowhere near the top 5 defenders in the league op

So when Flanagan and Sturridge come back, we move can into MF and stick flanno at the right of the 3 and swithc studge central with sterling wide or mf diamond?

flanno is a good fb but no cb for me. too weedy.
bring back big bad andre for me to go with skrtel and shako. wud make do with toure, wen he comes back, until wisdom returns next season.

Dont forget Ilori aswell. Hope he makes it, he has pace and positioning. Wisdom has all the hallmarks of being a great right back of a back 3.

Skrtel does well in a back 3 because the other 2 players mark the strikers. Skrtel can't mark properly. I watched numerous games this season and analysed his defending. Whenever we conceded he was in no mans land not marking anyone. He was great tonight as he was able to attack players like Costa knowing he had cover if he fecked up

Skrtel does well because of other players and when he has a bad game it's because of him. The typical response of the Skrtel basher.

The amount of times I've seen him blamed for a goal conceded when it wasn't his fault at all is crazy.

TOOR, it's his lack of consistency that get him. You never honestly know which 'Granite boy' performance you are going to get from him. Tonight,he was awesome. Can is our future. Sakho, for me, needs to be more attacking than he is. His best game for a while tonight though.

That's because he has made SO many. When he is on his game he is solid but he is also so prone to switching off under pressure and making a needless error that can lead to a goal conceded. You don't want that in a centre back!

Not sure about most underrated ever, but he is underrated.

Generally plays well in the big games.

I think central in our back 3 suits him perfectly because he can attack the ball and has the pace to recover if he gets isolated.

I think Flanagan would be good on the right side of the back 3 because his distribution is good and that is a key part of the wider positions. He would have to improve his back post heading though which is a weak part of his game.

Not sure about Wisdom on the right because his distribution isn't great IMO. He is better suited to the centre position if this formation is a long term fixture.

Carra scored lots of own goals and was mince on the deck.

I like Skrtel and he's been playing very well for a couple of months, which he should, he is the senior centre back.
