Costa you could argue is made to look better by our recent striker woes

Cahill, courtios and Costa underrated for me. People forget previous seasons and just how good these players are/have been.

JT has been overrated for me this year. Nearly as bad as cahill without AS many individual errors yet no criticism at All while cahill has got slated.

Mikel is the new torres with people defending him and coming out with ridiculous articles or sentiments supporting him just because they might look cool.

Costa in his first season, coming of an injury, in a new league has done ridiculously well.

Bar Suarez, Aguero and RVP. Name me an out and out striker with a record like Costa's. And it's not just his goals, his all round game is top draw.

Anyone saying Courtois and Costa are overrated need their heads checked.

Both world class.

Mojo his workrate and hold up play are second to none for me

Cahill may be overrated. His positioning seems suspect at times. I really liked the look of Terry/Zouma against Newcastle.

Not quite, but a club like ourselves you'd expect a Suarez or Aguero calibre player leading the attack. A striker who can make something out of nothing almost at their whim. Costa is very functional and fits our/Jose's methodology like a glove, the goals clearly indicate this, but he isn't in that top echelon of worldwide strikers.

I must confess struggling to work out how a player of his intelligence on the pitch couldn't kick start his career until the age of 23? With Drogba it was understandable given his skill set but not Costa.

So first he's a player not of the calibre of aguero or Suarez?

Then Ur struggling, after saying that wondering why it took him a while to kickstart his career because he's so intelligent and has a better skill set than drogba?who btw is far more successful then aguero or Suarez...

And In a simple answer, everyone gets different breaks in football. Costa had Falcao ahead of him at atletico. As soon as he went then he started people saw his quality

You can't just exclude all the strikers in the league you know. We don't have much choice then. Jackson Martinez? 21 goals in 25 games. Unless your just naming PL strikers then obviously nobody that you have excluded because Costa is the best.
