I wasn't there tonight & couldn't really listen to much of the match either.
So what happened? What changed in the second half? From what I heard in the first half we played 4-5-1 they played a diamond. We couldn't live with them.
Did anything tactically change at half time? Personnel?? Etc. I just can't get my head round it at the moment.
Is it the case that we can react to what other teams are doing.... It's just that we're usually at least a goal down by then?
What's happening??

According to the FP commentary the problem in the first half was that we were not matching their midfield diamond and being out played and given the run around in midfield dow the centre. So the problem was that we didn't match the oppositions tactics for the first half an hour, once we changed our shape and Parker went off we improved. We all need to accept that this team and the manager are a work in progress and progress takes time. S.P will get a lot more time by the fans than anybody else. The owner takes notice of the fans, so Pearce will get time to learn from his tactical errors.

RFB, spot on. This is probably a transitional season now, that is quite clear.

The problem you have is that your hands are tied in the transfer market. You're players have good contracts and not under threat. If you can't sell them they can just sit and take the money. Anyone coming in is likely to be a lower Championship standard player. Next season is likely to be worse than this one.

We did tell you we were very poor that second half. What you've got to ask yourselves is. Why you can not play football most of the 90mins and only play 45mins? At least SP is consistent

That's the same argument you have been firing at the likes of Bryson in your squad. The trick is having players with ambition to better themselves. If not, ship them out. I don't think a player's cost matters if you properly work out whether they are going to be better than what you have already got. As many free transfers have worked out just as well as players brought for a fee, Tesche being a good example this year.

Rev, we started with same lineup as against Derby and it was only when we change formation to try to combat Fulham that we got into the game.

Or Fulham took their foot off because they were comfortably ahead?

We did change formation to match up though

True. Maybe should've happened after the first goal, though. Fulham were on top from the first whistle.
