Whenever a new signing gets a Wenger statement it usually says he can play in 2 or 3 positions. With that in mind I had a debate at work about which players in the current squad could do a job in a new position. Many names were mentioned but flamini as a 4th choice centre back caused heated response. FOR : he was okay at left back so not big change , he can't be box to box anymore but can hold a line ,tackle well and distribution is acceptable , very passionate and vocal , its for 4th choice so won't play often anyway. AGAINST : he has lost it .
I think he could still do a job in defence but his midfield days are over.
players versatility !

He's 10th in my pecking order: Koscielny, Mertesacker, Chambers, Debuchy, Monreal, Hayden, Coquelin, Diaby, Giroud, Flamini

Chamberlain as a striker. Has many similarities to a younger Rooney

Agree to a point but his finishing would let him down

I can see Giroud playing as a CB.

Ox playing goalie because of his "save" at Chelsea last season?

Alexis could play anywhere on the pitch and still be good.

I'd pay to see a pairing of Monreal and Giroud

Penguins team would be pretty decent
