For me, he is the real reason we have steadied our season..
Only one in the team who can play that defensive mid role and does look like the player he was prior to the knee injury.

Agreed.
To be fair I think Borini against Real hinted he could do it, and Rodgers should have played him earlier IMO (regardless of his lack of quality, he fits the style better).
The decision to not give Borini another chance after the decent team performance away to Real was error IMO.
Rodgers went back to Balotelli, and then on to Lambert for a bit, with Borini in the cold for no apparent reason.

Yeah, I agree with that and stated so at the time.
Reminds me of the time Robbie Keane went on a bit of good form and then was benched, went back to stuttering form and was then sold. Some players need to player and build up form.

And Rodgers made the same mistake again last night
Doubt it would have affected the result but annoying that Borini keeps getting shunted out to incorporate Balotelli who is offering nothing at all and doing more bad than good.
Borini must have the right hump after scoring a good goal against Villa.

Balo was brought on as a left winger
Not sure how borini would have done out there

he was brought in as a striker, did nothing and then was shifted left when Lambert was brought on.

Lambert himself was hardly in the box. Spent most of the time on the right and then hit row Z from the left.

Balo hit row Z from dead centre of the goal 20 yards out.

Balo always hits row Z. Nothing new there.
